This sand came from the side of a newly paved road. Notice the the bright yellow bits and the clear, smooth, rounded bits? Sometimes you can find man made things in sand. In this case the yellow bits are little chunks of paint and the clear bits are tiny spheres of glass used to make the paint reflective when the light from headlights hits them.
